About the role

Welcoming guests when they arrive to venue and bidding goodbye as they leave to create a lasting positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they arrive at the facility and thank them for their patronage upon departure.
• Ensure a party’s special needs or accommodation requests are met.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls and the State Gaming Agency.
• Answer phones and take messages/reservations.
• Maintain an accurate wait list when necessary.
• Occasionally bus tables to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees and third parties to reflect highly on the venue, the brand and the company.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Abide by company and department specific appearance standards.

Skills

• RAMP certified.
• Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Reading and writing abilities used frequently for recording and reviewing reservations and table assignment system.
• Ability to read, review and understand seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills used frequently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience in a high volume, service focused environment.

Physical Requirements

• Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
• Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Use of stairs (31 steps) multiple times per day and elevators.

Working Conditions

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 100,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 500 employees.
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• Occasional work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
