Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

This position involves meeting and greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner, offering seating choices, escorting them to tables, and presenting menus. The hotel operates 24/7, requiring flexibility in shift days, starting times, and hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
• Track customer count and table availability.
• Answer the telephone promptly and respond to needs in a friendly, professional manner.
• Take reservations and maintain clean menus.
• Maintain complete knowledge of daily specials, soups, and hours of operation.
• Assist room service with overflow phone orders.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security rules.
• Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures; utilize protective equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to supervisor/manager.
• Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards outlined in team member handbook).
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other restaurant personnel when needed.

Schedule

Part-Time AM shifts available. Full-time candidates must be able to work both Barista and Host positions.

Pay

Barista: $17.00-$17.50/hr + tips | Host: $19.29-$20.00/hr.
