Restaurant Hosts are the team of smiling faces providing a warm welcome and getting our members and their guests settled in. Building rapport with the members is crucial, as the first point of contact in the Club you and your teammates will set the tone for the rest of the experience by providing an excellent welcome and farewell.

About the company

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and have a good time. Ned’s Club Washington DC is our fourth and newest location, set over three floors of a neoclassical building in President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Club features a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury, and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery, and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team of hosts welcoming and settling our members and guests, setting the tone for the rest of the visit
• Handle members' requests and queries regarding their reservations
• Collaborate with our membership relations team to provide members with an amazing experience every time
• Build rapport with members over time, learning their preferences and storing them in our reservation system
• Set our management and service teams up for success by providing key information about guests to allow them to surprise and delight with exceptional hospitality
• Assist with phone call and email communication for exceptional member experiences

Requirements

• Rapport-building skills are essential; every guest is a loyal member or potential new member, so every interaction is crucial
• Bright personality and genuine warmth with a passion for outstanding hospitality
• Calm demeanor and ability to defuse situations and turn them into a positive
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially with high-profile individuals who value their privacy
• Able to work PM shifts starting at 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM
• Able to work flexible shifts to include weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods, including entire shifts
• Able to lift, pull, or push a minimum of 35 pounds
• Eligible to work in the US
