Responsibilities
- Guest Experience & Greeting
- Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel valued.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Manage special requests, such as seating preferences or accessibility needs.
- Reservation & Seating Management
- Manage reservations using the restaurant’s booking system.
- Coordinate table assignments to maximize seating capacity and efficiency.
- Communicate wait times accurately and manage the waitlist.
- Maintain a smooth flow of guests entering and leaving the dining area.
- Communication & Coordination
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Inform guests of daily specials, promotions, or special events.
- Answer phone calls regarding reservations, restaurant details, and inquiries.
- Maintaining Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and organized.
- Ensure menus, promotional materials, and reservation books are up to date.
- Assist in setting up the dining area when needed.
- Team Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with restaurant managers, servers, and bartenders.
- Assist with light bussing or resetting tables if necessary.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English and interact well with guests and staff.
- Self-starting personality with an even temperament, always maintaining a professional appearance and manner.
- Willingness to pitch in and assist co-workers, promoting a team-oriented work environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and wine pairing is highly sought after, contributing to an elevated experience.
Pay
Hourly Range: $19.29-$20.29
Schedule
Full-time. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
