About the role

The Restaurant Busser position involves providing fast, friendly, and courteous service to guests. Key responsibilities include balancing and carrying trays, interacting with guests and co-workers, and maintaining a clean and organized work station.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time, well-groomed in full uniform, and with badge on upper left side of uniform.
• Must be able to balance and carry trays weighing up to sixty (60) pounds.
• Hospitable, friendly, and polite with all guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language.
• Have a strong understanding of the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino's history, map, and operational details.
• Perform any duties assigned by the manager or shift manager.
• Aid other employees as required.
• Exceed guest expectations by being attentive to their needs.
• Maintain a neat and organized work station.
• Check chairs for crumbs, pick up debris or litter from floor, and sweep if needed.
• Clean tray stands daily and organize them properly.
• Maintain the bread area and other kitchen areas when needed, including wiping spills and walls.
• Complete designated opening and closing side work daily and check with manager or shift manager before clocking out.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing routine correspondence and speaking effectively.
• Ability to resolve problems/conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, moving through all areas of the casino, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, using fingers/hands for lifting and grasping, lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds, performing repetitive motions, talking to and hearing customers/co-workers, and assisting with special needs of customers.

Benefits

Salary starting rate is $10.70 per hour, with compensation negotiable based on experience and education. Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.
