Restaurant Attendant/Cashier

Schedule

3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Schedules are created based on department needs.

About the role

Messiah Lifeways is seeking a part‑time Cashier/Restaurant Attendant to join the dining team. As one of the first friendly faces residents, guests, and team members see, you will help create a welcoming dining experience that makes every meal special.

Responsibilities

• Welcome residents, guests, and team members with genuine hospitality and a positive attitude.
• Take food orders, serve meals, and provide attentive customer service.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment.
• Restock supplies and assist with light food preparation and food service tasks as needed.
• Work alongside a supportive team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Create a warm and enjoyable dining experience for everyone you serve.

Qualifications

• Cashier or customer‑service experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Friendly, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.
• Comfortable working in a lively, people‑focused environment.
• Committed to treating older adults with dignity, patience, and respect.
