About the role
Ohel is seeking Respite Counselors to provide one-on-one support to youth with mental health challenges or medical fragility living at home in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide short-term assistance to enhance families' ability to support youth's needs in areas such as functional, developmental, behavioral health, and health care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with relevant skills and training.
- Prior experience working with children/youth, especially those with special needs, is preferred.
- A valid NY or NJ driver’s license is preferred.
- Good English communication skills are essential.
- Flexible part-time schedule available, working after school hours.
