Essential Duties
- Ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability.
- Engage and initiate age-appropriate activities for the client.
- Build positive relationships with the family and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Driver's License or State-Issued ID
- Valid auto insurance coverage
- CPR and First Aid certification (Infants, Children, and Adults)
- Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior caregiving experience
- Experience working with, or exposure to, individuals with disabilities
- Willingness to assist with personal care needs, including toileting assistance
