We need to extract sections:
- About the role: maybe the introductory paragraph about the role, mission, etc. Could be "Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers..." That's about the role.
- Responsibilities: the "Essential Job Functions" list (the bullet-like sentences). We need to put them in
- . - Requirements: maybe the "Required Qualifications" list. - Qualifications: maybe overlapping with Requirements? The instruction says use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide what content goes where. Usually "Requirements" and "Qualifications" could be similar; but we must not create empty sections. We have content for Required Qualifications (list). We could put that under Requirements. Also we have "Graduate of an approved and accredited Respiratory Care Program..." etc. That's qualifications. We also have "Position Details" with Job Type/FTE, Shift, Unit/Department, CBA Code. That could go under Schedule (shift) and maybe Benefits? There's a sign-on bonus mentioned at top: "12,000 Dollar Sign-On Bonus". That's a benefit/pay. Also maybe Pay? Not specified salary, just sign-on bonus. So we could have Benefits section with sign-on bonus. Pay section maybe not present (no salary). So we should not create Pay section if no specific pay. Schedule: we have shift details: Part Time (0.6 FTE), Shift: Day Shift 6:30pm-7:00am (though it says Day Shift but times are night? anyway). So we can put schedule. Skills: maybe we have communication and documentation skills listed under qualifications; could be under Skills. But we already have those in Required Qualifications. Might be better to put communication/documentation under Skills. However we must not duplicate content. The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep all info. If we split qualifications into Requirements and Skills, we need to ensure we don't lose any info. We could put the list of qualifications under Requirements, and then maybe Skills section could be empty -> not allowed. So better to put all qualifications under Requirements, and omit Skills section if no distinct skills beyond those. But we have communication and documentation skills; they are part of qualifications. So we can keep them under Requirements. Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits, Schedule. Check if any other specific content: "Note: Our open positions will be supporting the Adult patient populations. We also have Student opportunities..." That's about the role maybe. Also "Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers..." is about the role. Thus About the role can combine those paragraphs. Responsibilities: the Essential Job Functions list (multiple sentences). We'll need to break into list items. Each sentence seems to be a function. We'll need to extract each distinct function. Let's parse the Essential Job Functions paragraph: "Administers supplemental oxygen/medical gas therapy; as prescribed by direct physician order or via established and approved departmental patient care protocols; documents such procedures appropriately and accurately into the EPIC electronic medical record.)Administers intermittent (Small Volume Nebulizer, MDI, etc.) or Continuous Medication delivery therapy (bronchodilators, steroid therapy, mucolytics, etc.) as prescribed or via established and approved department protocols. Implements airway clearance techniques (to include Chest Physiotherapy, coughing/deep breathing techniques, Therapy Vest, Flutter valve, ExPap device, Acapella device, & incentive spirometry) per physician order or under the guidelines of established and approved departmental patient care protocols. Documents such procedures into the EPIC electronic medical record appropriately and accurately per hospital policy.Initiates and maintains non-invasive ventilation (NIV) procedures (BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow Cannula) on an emergent and non-emergent basis; assess patient status and the status of NIV equipment and patient tolerance of such. Documents procedures into the EPIC system as required.Initiates, maintains, and checks status (per department policy) of mechanical ventilation; provides for a thorough and complete patient assessment to recommend and implement weaning plans from mechanical ventilation either per physician order or under the guidelines of pre-approved and established departmental mechanical ventilator protocols. Trouble shoots ABG analyzers; performs appropriate quality control and general calibration procedures as appropriate. Reports results accurately and timely, within established results turnaround reporting guidelines.Provides for patient transport within the facility when patients are transported to other areas on oxygen delivery systems, mechanical ventilators, etc." We need to split into sensible list items. Each major function: administers supplemental oxygen/medical gas therapy; administers intermittent or continuous medication delivery therapy; administers bronchopulmonary hygiene, suctioning, & airway care procedures; initiates and maintains non-invasive ventilation; initiates, maintains, and checks status of mechanical ventilation; provides for ventilator management; performs ABG analysis; provides for patient transport. We'll keep the details as part of each list item. Requirements: list: - Graduate of an approved and accredited Respiratory Care Program (at least two years in duration) - Diploma or Certificate of Completion and Associate’s Degree from an accredited academic body. - Demonstrates effective and accurate communication and documentation skills (both verbal and written communications) - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by The National Board for Respiratory Care - Licensed by The State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner - Basic Life Support Healthcare provider certification (American Heart Association) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification; PALS Certification; or ACLS Certification preferred, depending upon patient care area assigned and the primary patient populations served We could combine some but keep as list. Benefits: Sign-on bonus: "12,000 Dollar Sign-On Bonus". Also maybe mention "Part-Time, Night shift" but that's schedule. So Benefits: "$12,000 sign-on bonus". Schedule: "Part Time (0.6 FTE)", "Shift: Day Shift 6:30pm-7:00am", "Unit/Department: Respiratory Care Services (Adult)", maybe also CBA Code: Non-Union but that's metadata not schedule. Could include under Schedule or maybe omit
