Respiratory Therapist - Part-time, Nights

About the role

The hospital is a critical illness recovery facility dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the patient's journey.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in respiratory therapy practices.
• Teach and counsel patients and families about respiratory care and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must hold an Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), high school transcript/diploma, or GED.
• Current state licensure is mandatory.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required by start date.
• An ACLS certification is required upon hire (for agency RTs, this must be obtained upon the first shift).

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Pay

$31.96/hr. to $43.00/hr., plus a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

Schedule

Part-time, 12-hour shifts (2 days per week).
