Respiratory Therapist - Part-Time Nights

About the role

Provides comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and treatment, within hospital guidelines. Utilizes advanced clinical expertise to support patient safety and develop age-appropriate care, while adhering to quality and regulatory standards. Acts as a resource to the healthcare team and educates patients, families, and staff on respiratory procedures and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively through documentation and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provides training on respiratory therapies to patients, families, and staff, applying diverse teaching methods.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, troubleshooting as needed, based on established standards.
• Demonstrates advanced skills supporting specialized care such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, and life support measures.
• Continuously seeks learning opportunities, manages multiple duties efficiently, and ensures patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licenses and certifications including Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT), Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related field.
