About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist provides essential respiratory care, including administering medical gases, ventilator support, and performing procedures such as intubation and chest physiotherapy. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, professional growth, and collaboration within a dynamic, supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor the effectiveness of respiratory therapy interventions.
• Administer respiratory treatments, including medical gases and ventilator support.
• Conduct procedures such as intubation and chest physiotherapy.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient data and maintain accurate records of respiratory care provided.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC required within one year of hire.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS and PALS certifications required within one year of hire.

Schedule

Full-time, daytime position within the Respiratory Care Services department.
