About the Role

Loyola is the only trauma center in Illinois designated as a Level I Trauma Center by both the state of Illinois and the American College of Surgeons. Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Administer treatments, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostics
- Follow evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Serve as a lead/charge therapist, guiding workflow and supporting team members
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in respiratory care (Bachelor's preferred)
- Current or pending Illinois Respiratory Therapist license (or within 6 months of hire)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC (or within 6 months of hire)
- BLS (AHA)
- NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS, NPS, and/or ACCS credentials
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
- 3 years of previous job-related experience (for RT 3 level)

Pay
Starting pay rate: $41.35 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
