About the role

Join Loyola Medicine—Illinois’ premier academic health system—and be part of a high-performing respiratory care team delivering advanced, compassionate care in a Level I Trauma Center designated by both the state of Illinois and the American College of Surgeons. This is a registry, part-time position with a rotating shift.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
  • Administer treatments, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostics
  • Follow evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Serve as a lead/charge therapist, guiding workflow and supporting team members

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in respiratory care (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Current or obtainable Illinois RT license (within 6 months of hire)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC (or within 6 months of hire)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS credential
  • NPS and/or ACCS credentials
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
  • 3 years of previous job-related experience (for RT 3 level)

Pay

Pay Rate: $41.35 per hour. Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
