Respiratory Therapist - Registered / Polysomnography - Full Time

About the role

Provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education. May oversee other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Performs sleep studies, calibrates and prepares equipment, conducts physiologic assessments, documents sleep stages and clinical events, performs mask fittings, scores sleep studies, and adapts care to patient needs
• May perform trach care and complex respiratory procedures
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and maintains current knowledge of laws and accreditation requirements

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• State license required
• Sleep Technologist credentials (RPGST, SDS, or RST) required
• BLS certification required
• No prior work experience required; experience in fast-paced settings is advantageous

Key Duties

• Conduct sleep testing, troubleshoot equipment, analyze patient data, perform routine and complex procedures, document findings, and communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance while providing quality patient care
