Respiratory Therapist (Registered/Certified)

Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments and establishing care plans.
• Administering therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and secretion management.
• Managing mechanical ventilators and monitoring non-invasive devices.
• Providing patient and family education on disease management.
• Assisting with invasive procedures, airway management, and intra-hospital transport.
• Collecting arterial blood gases, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Serving as a Shift Coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff.
• Supporting medical procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive line placement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required; provided by employer.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and evidence-based practice skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate professional growth.
