Respiratory Therapist (Registered/Certified)

About the role

Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) responsible for patient assessments, establishing care plans, and delivering respiratory therapies.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient evaluations.
• Administer therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen, and secretion management.
• Manage mechanical ventilators and monitor patient status using non-invasive tools.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management.
• Assist with intra-hospital transport and acute airway management in emergencies.
• Support procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and confidentiality.
• Serve as Shift Coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilize state-of-the-art equipment, and participate in professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS (provided and required).
• Experience in a clinical environment with protocol-driven care and evidence-based practices.

Skills

• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.
