Respiratory Therapist - PRN/Per Diem

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital Ann Arbor is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) play a crucial role in this setting, offering compassionate and comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families about their care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), high school transcript/diploma, or GED.
• Must have current state licensure.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon start date.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire.
• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Pay

$41.00 per hour.

Schedule

PRN Dayshift: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:30 am.

Ann Arbor, MI (7th floor of Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital).
