Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem/PRN

About the Role

Performs comprehensive respiratory care for patients based on physician directives. Acts as an advanced resource for medical staff, consulting on therapy effectiveness and providing expert support in respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care across all aspects of respiratory therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians to assess and optimize therapy outcomes.
• Utilize all respiratory care devices and equipment effectively.
• Perform assigned duties with professionalism and compassion.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Current state licensure and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certified as RRT or CRT by NBRC; PALS and ACLS certifications are required for ER roles.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience, excluding orientation.
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, pulling, and maneuvering up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care experience.

Schedule

Flexible shifts with options for day or night work. No weekend or holiday requirements.

Pay

Compensation includes hourly rates ($30–$35) with variable shift incentives.
