About the role

Responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality patient care
• Collaborates with healthcare teams
• Manages ventilators and performs airway procedures
• Conducts arterial blood gas analysis
• Provides patient education and mentors staff and students
• Participates in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics
• Promotes patient safety and accurate documentation
• Adheres to evidence-based practices and organizational policies
• Supports performance improvement initiatives
• Assists in invasive procedures
• Supports patient and family education
• Fosters a team-oriented environment
• Ensures compliance with safety standards
• Promotes quality improvement

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 quarter hours of science
• Licensure and certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 6 months in critical care
