About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Verify orders and perform invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care practices
• Ensure high-quality, safe, and evidence-based practices
• Promote accurate documentation and support performance improvement initiatives
• Assess patients and collaborate on care planning
• Manage ventilators and perform arterial blood gas sampling
• Assist with procedures and mentor new staff and students
• Comply with policies and promote a safe, quality environment

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 quarter hours of science
• Hold NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, including critical care
