Respiratory Therapist PRN - Nights

About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway procedures
• Educate patients and mentor staff, students, and peers
• Ensure patient safety and promote evidence-based practices
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics (location-specific)
• Comply with organizational policies and standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 quarter hours of science
• Valid NBRC-RRT, RCP, and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (or instructor equivalents)
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills
