Respiratory Therapist - PRN Night

About the role

A Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary care under physician direction or supervision, delivering treatments, monitoring patients, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders
• Administer therapies, medications, and manage oxygen and airway support
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to enhance patient care
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust treatments as needed
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards
• Support emergency respiratory interventions when necessary

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• CRT or RRT credential from the NBR
• Current BLS/CPR Certification
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Skills

• Experience in acute care, ICU, emergency, or critical care settings
• Strong communication and patient education skills
