Provides direct patient respiratory care based on physician orders, serving as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Performs respiratory therapy
- Consults on therapy effectiveness
- Performs assigned duties using respiratory care devices
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program
- Current RCP license
- NBRC RRT credential
- PALS certification required for ER staff
Skills & Physical Demands
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
- Perform minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Experience in critical care preferred
- ACLS preferred
