RESPIRATORY THERAPIST- PRN

About the role
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will safely administer Respiratory Care services and procedures as ordered by physicians, consult with hospital personnel and physicians, and exhibit strong clinical decision-making and team-building skills. You will work independently and perform duties as assigned, including maintaining and cleaning equipment and attending in-service activities for staff development.
Responsibilities
- Safely administer Respiratory Care services and procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Consult with other hospital personnel and physicians appropriately.
- Communicate effectively, demonstrating excellent customer service and team-building skills.
- Make clinical decisions when necessary and work independently.
- Exhibit competency in performing all procedures outlined by the Respiratory Therapy Department’s Policy and Procedure Manuals.
- Maintain and clean equipment used within the Respiratory Therapy Department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attend in-service activities to further staff development.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited CoARC Respiratory Care Program.
- Certified and/or Registered with a current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- One to two years of previous Respiratory Therapy experience desired.
- Pulmonary Function experience preferred.
