Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments in critical care settings. The role involves independent decision-making, patient education, and supporting staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care through assessments, therapy planning, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Administer aerosolized medications, perform airway management, and interpret ventilator waveforms and arterial blood gases.
• Educate patients and mentor new employees, students, and peers.
• Participate in invasive procedures, pulmonary diagnostics, and cardiac service procedures as needed.
• Ensure safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with quality improvement initiatives and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy; preferred.
• Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS upon hire.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills; proficient in computer use and databases.
