Respiratory Therapist - PRN

Job Summary Provides respiratory care utilizing critical thinking skills, assessment, evaluation, and implementation of complex treatment methods. Demonstrates competence by earning the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC examinations. Acts as a clinical resource, offering care, education, and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams. Performs duties to enhance healthcare delivery and fosters a caring environment that promotes healing. Responsibilities Assesses patients and develops, implements, and evaluates care plans.Administers prescribed medications and provides health education to patients and their families.Collaborates with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.Provides clinical leadership and supports continuous learning.Completes assigned goals and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Recent clinical respiratory care experience in hospital, home care, or skilled nursing settings; hospital experience preferred.Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation.Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.Valid RRT licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
