Respiratory Therapist - Part Time Evenings

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex clinical situations, primarily in critical care settings. They independently manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, and collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and deliver personalized patient care. Key Responsibilities Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapyManage ventilator settings, weaning, and airway care (intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care)Conduct patient assessments and interpret waveforms and diagnosticsEducate patients, families, peers, and students; mentor new staffParticipate in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary testing as neededEnsure safety and quality through accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to policiesSupport performance improvement and evidence-based practices Qualifications & Skills Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)Valid certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT or RCP0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical careStrong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Additional Information: The role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care, supporting staff development, and contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
