About the role
We provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support services to patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Our team includes inpatients and outpatients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and wean Oxygen Therapy and Artificial Ventilation
- Draw, analyze, and report Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs
- Deliver intermittent therapy as ordered by a physician
- Assist with changing artificial airways
- Provide services as ordered by a physician
Requirements
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Certified by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 90 days of hire
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Computer skills for data entry and retrieval
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of technical procedures
- Professional certifications and up-to-date knowledge of procedures
