Respiratory Therapist - PRN - Nights

About the role

Provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen and artificial ventilation
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs
• Deliver respiratory therapy
• Assist with artificial airway management
• Document clinical information
• Educate patients and staff on respiratory care
• Perform diagnostic procedures
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Maintain safety standards

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Valid state license
• Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care

Skills

• Strong computer proficiency
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to different patient populations

Physical demands

• Lifting and prolonged standing
• Potential exposure to infectious materials and hazardous substances

Flexibility in work hours and travel between facilities is required.
