Respiratory Therapist - PRN Nights

Role Overview The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive cardiopulmonary care under physician direction or supervision. This role involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory disorders, administering therapies and medications, managing oxygen and airway support, and collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with respiratory issuesAdminister treatments, therapies, and medications as orderedManage oxygen therapy and airway support interventionsCoordinate with physicians, nurses, and care teamsMonitor patient response and adjust treatments accordinglyEducate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipmentMaintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standardsProvide emergency respiratory care when needed Qualifications & Skills Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner LicenseCRT or RRT credential from NBRCCurrent BLS/CPR certificationGraduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program Preferred Skills: Prior experience in acute care, ICU, emergency, or critical care settings; strong communication and patient education skills.
