Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

About the Role

Responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway management procedures.
• Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor new employees and students.
• Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary testing, and cardiac service procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Document care accurately and support a positive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or equivalent.
• 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems.
