About the Role
Responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex critical care settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop care plans.
- Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, and perform airway management procedures.
- Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
- Educate patients, families, and support staff; mentor new employees and students.
- Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, pulmonary testing, and cardiac service procedures.
- Ensure patient safety, promote evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Document care accurately and support a positive, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Valid certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or equivalent.
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
