About the role
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead their Respiratory Therapy Department.Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department
- Supervise, coach, and support respiratory therapy staff
- Oversee staffing, workflow, and departmental performance
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and patient safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide direct respiratory therapy care as needed, including:
- Ventilator management and weaning support
- Patient assessment and respiratory treatments
- ABGs, PFTs, EKGs, and diagnostic testing
- Emergency response and airway management
Requirements
- Achieved Associate's degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy
- Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
