About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care
• Perform ventilator management
• Perform airway procedures
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on care planning
• Educate patients
• Support staff
• Mentor new employees
• Ensure safe, high-quality care by following best practices
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Promote safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy
• NBRC-RRT certification
• Current licensure including BLS and ACLS
• Clinical experience of 0-2 years, with at least 6 months in critical care (preferred)
