About the role

Respiratory Therapist II responsible for administering medications and providing complex respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare teams, and verify orders.
• Administer aerosolized medications, manage ventilators, perform airway management, and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Educate patients and mentor staff and students.
• Assist in invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Ensure patient safety, promote quality care, and support performance improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, promote evidence-based practices, and adhere to policies and standards.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS required at hire.
• 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; ability to establish professional relationships.
