Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) - Non-NICU

About the Role

This position is responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medications
• Manage ventilators and perform airway management
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for care planning
• Educate patients and mentor new staff
• Participate in procedures and diagnostic testing
• Ensure patient safety and promote quality care
• Support performance improvement initiatives
• Participate in staff development and adhere to policies
• Contribute to a supportive team environment

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• 0–2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care
