Respiratory Therapist - Full Time (Night Shift)

About the role

Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting, acting as a care coordinator, unit leader, and respiratory consultant across hospital service lines.

Responsibilities

• Develops and evaluates patient care plans
• Collaborates with healthcare team members
• Performs invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Manages respiratory medications
• Assists in emergencies
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives
• Provides patient education
• Contributes to clinical research
• Trains and mentors staff and students
• Ensures accuracy of documentation
• Maintains equipment and certifications

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC-RRT or RCP licensure
• Valid Georgia Respiratory Care license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience preferred

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and function under stress
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and clinical chemistries
• Proficient in computer skills including Word and Excel
• Ability to work collaboratively and delegate effectively
