At TriCities Hospital, you will play a vital role in patient care, with responsibilities spanning therapy administration, mechanical ventilator management, and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Administer therapy modalities as ordered by a physician.
- Perform all aspects of mechanical ventilator management, including initiation, operation, and monitoring.
- Conduct arterial punctures and blood gas analysis.
- Respond to code blue situations in assigned areas.
- Assist in the transport of ventilator and critically ill patients.
- Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment.
- Provide thorough, accurate reports to oncoming staff at shift end.
- Enter all patient contacts into the appropriate system.
- Perform equipment rounds.
Requirements
- State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date).
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date).
