Respiratory Supervisor Nights
Shift
Monday-Friday Nights
5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts, covering weekend callout, if needed
About the role
Serves as a liaison between staff and department leadership, communicates important issues to leadership promptly.
Maintains good working relationships with all customers and communicates effectively with other healthcare team members.
Practices and enforces standard precautions and safety regulations according to hospital policies.
Monitors staff activities in the clinical setting to ensure services are provided according to department and facility policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensures efficient use of resources and labor by reviewing scheduling and staffing needs.
Acts as a resource person and assists with clinical duties when needed, maintaining all required clinical competencies.
Attends new leader orientation and ongoing management/leadership classes.
Adheres to, and ensures staff adherence to, the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Participates in and proactively initiates performance improvement activities.
Completes performance appraisals on time, counsels staff, and initiates progressive discipline as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science [Required]
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science [Preferred] - 3+ years critical care experience [Required]
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
Active NBRC Credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Preferred] - Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
