About the Role
The Respiratory Student Extern supports respiratory care operations by maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and assisting practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test respiratory equipment following departmental policies.
- Order, stock, and maintain respiratory supplies and rental equipment using LEAN processes.
- Perform accurate inventory counts of supplies and ensure adequate oxygen cylinder supplies.
- Assist in equipment calibration and preventative maintenance, delivering items to Biomedical Engineering.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and assist Respiratory Care Practitioners as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current respiratory student within one year of graduation.
- Ability to work part-time.
