About the role

The Department 36402 AMC Kenosha - Respiratory Therapy Services is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist. This position is eligible for benefits and works 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Under the observation of a licensed respiratory therapist, perform routine and basic level respiratory therapy procedures.
• Organize and maintain supply of respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Clean and reassemble equipment according to proper procedure, observing standard precautions.
• Process disposable/non-disposable equipment based on infection prevention guidelines.
• Complete annual hospital competencies.
• Learn new equipment/supplies, procedures, and processes as needed.
• Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, lifting and pushing/pulling while using proper technique.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved program in Respiratory Therapy.
• No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.

Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull with 30 lbs. of force, and perform a sliding transfer with a second person present.

Pay

$19.80 - $29.70 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule

Works 8 hours per week.
