About the role
Performs all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist and where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice. Scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic and metabolic testing, patient assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions, analysis and reporting of clinical response. Therapists work in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient, cost-effective, and quality patient and family care as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient, cost-effective, and quality patient and family care.
- Supports system, facility, and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education, and professional growth and development activities.
- Provides patient and family education and discharge planning.
Requirements
- RRT required by start date.
Qualifications
- Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
Skills
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- License-Respiratory Therapy - Various
- Registered Respiratory Therapist - Various
- Associate Degree
