Respiratory Care Practitioner - Cardiopulmonary

About the role

This position is held by a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) who possesses the knowledge and skill to administer all forms of respiratory assistance. The role may be filled by a Registered Respiratory Therapist or a Certified Respiratory Therapist. The RCP is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of assigned patients. The role requires active participation among various hospital departments, with strong communication skills and patient advocacy being critical and expected. The RCP must comply with all local, state, and federal accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities

• Administer all forms of respiratory assistance.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatment, care, and needs.
• Actively participate in collaboration with various hospital departments.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and patient advocacy.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accrediting bodies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Illinois.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Pay

Hourly wage: $29.00 - $44.00 per hour (actual wage depends on experience).

Schedule

Pool/PRN/Per Diem shift (other shifts may apply).
