Full Time, 3rd Shift – Nights (FTE: 0.9)
Shift differentials: $1.79/hour for 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm; $3.75/hour for 11:01 pm – 7:00 am; $1.60/hour for weekend shifts.
About the role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 at Asante is an advanced practitioner who has completed additional credentialing and competencies as outlined in the Respiratory Critical Care Orientation, Respiratory Care Services Competency Evaluation, and Respiratory Care Services’ Career Ladder in one or more of the following areas: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Care, Neonatal Care, Pulmonary Function Technology, or Team Leadership.
The RCP-2 may perform respiratory care duties in adult intensive care units, attend to patients in the ER, and/or provide pediatric floor care as applicable. Responsibilities may also include management of blood gas labs, as assigned for specific job roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care in adult ICU, ER, and/or pediatric floor settings.
- Manage blood gas labs as assigned.
- Assess patient conditions, analyze data, formulate and implement care plans.
- Function effectively within a multidisciplinary team, communicating appropriately as both member and leader.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory-related sciences preferred.
- Experience: Successful applicants should have experience specific to the posted advanced practitioner specialty position and be able to demonstrate advanced competencies after completing required orientation(s).
- Licensure/Certifications:
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required upon start.
- Individuals licensed prior to January 1, 2018 with CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) through NBRC are not required to obtain RRT.
- RT-P: Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start.
- BLS: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
- For Asante Ashland: PALS, ACLS, and NRP must be obtained within 6 months of start.
- For Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC): NRP required upon start.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified from American Heart Association (for Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center).
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor certification by the American Heart Association (for Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center).

Pay
Salary range: $39.91 – $54.89 per hour.
