Respiratory Care Practitioner

About the Role

Provides respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including therapeutic treatments and bedside diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans, performs patient evaluations, and adjusts treatments accordingly.
• Acts as a preceptor for students and new staff to support their learning and integration.
• Completes patient assessments and delivers appropriate respiratory therapies.
• Assists in training and mentorship of new hires and students.
• Maintains accurate documentation of care plans and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate from a respiratory therapy program.
• Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• Current Indiana State license.
• CPR certification (required).
• ACLS and NRP certifications (preferred or obtainable within 6 months).
• Ability to be on call.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Adaptability to various clinical settings.
