Summary Of Role And Responsibilities This position is for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care in a hospital setting. The role involves collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop and implement patient care plans, operating and maintaining complex ventilatory and monitoring systems, and performing respiratory procedures, assessments, and diagnostics. The practitioner must demonstrate a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and complete mandatory orientation programs. Activities may include assisting with resuscitation, oxygen therapy, and other patient care functions for which they are qualified.
