Responsibilities
- Assist with administering the Respiratory Care program rules, regulations, and policies in compliance with current Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) Standards.
- Assess the clinical competency of Respiratory Care students.
- Cooperate with the program faculty in periodic review/assessment, and revision of clinical course materials as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) from an institution accredited by a federally recognized institutional accrediting agency in respiratory care or a related discipline appropriate for college teaching.
- Holds a valid RRT credential and current state license.
- Has a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as an RRT with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care.
- Has a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs.
