Respiratory Care Instructor/Director of Clinical Education

Contract term: 10 months, 37.5 hours per week, on-site at Southeast KY Community & Technical College – Whitesburg Campus, Allied Health Department. FLSA exempt.

About the role

Respiratory Care Instructor/Director of Clinical Education for the Whitesburg Campus to teach in an Associate of Applied Science Respiratory Care Program. This is a full-time 10-month defined-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Associate of Applied Science Respiratory Care Program.
• Serve as the Director of Clinical Education, responsible for all aspects of the clinical experiences of students enrolled in the program, including organization, administration, continuous review and revision, planning and development of clinical site locations.
• Travel to various clinical sites throughout the service area as required.
• Engage in professional development, committee assignments, and internal/external community service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapy credential and a current Kentucky state license.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a respiratory therapist, with at least two years of clinical respiratory care experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional skills and experience in respiratory care education and clinical coordination are preferred.

Pay

$42,000.00 per 10-month contract.
