Respiratory Care Director of Clinical Education

About the Role

This is a 12-month, full-time exempt position responsible for directing clinical education within the Respiratory Care program. The role reports to the Respiratory Care Program Director and supervises clinical preceptors.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree (minimum)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Professional license or certificate as required by Mississippi
• Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• At least two (2) years of experience in clinical respiratory care

Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of student attendance, performance, immunization, background checks, drug screenings, and academic coursework as required by clinical affiliates
• Report to the Respiratory Care Program Director and Dean of Health Sciences
• Supervise the creation of the departmental clinical schedule for approval and coordination by the Respiratory Care Program Director and Dean of Health Sciences
• Accompany students to clinical sites
