Director Respiratory Care

Responsibilities

• Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
• Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
• Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
• Plans for the delivery of care and evaluates the quality of care rendered to all adult and pediatric patients in identified areas using current respiratory technologies.
• Strives to meet department, division goals, and hospital goals through inter and intra department collaboration and active participation on appropriate committees.
• Works collaboratively with Department Chairs, Medical Staff and the Administrative Teams.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience in respiratory therapy is required.
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
• Experience in licensing and accrediting bodies required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in research and quality improvement initiatives preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is required.
• Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist [RRT] is required, Current Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
• Years of relevant experience: 5 years is required.
• Years of leadership experience: 3 years is required.
